The card
A skeleton in armor rides past kings and commoners alike while a sun rises between two towers behind. It almost never means literal death — the sunrise is the tell. Under Scorpio, the sign of what dies and regrows, it's the card of the necessary ending: something has to close for the next thing to start.

Holding on to what's already gone. The relationship ended, the chapter closed, the version of yourself that fit that situation has moved on — but you keep reopening the door and finding the same empty room.
Clinging to a connection past its natural end, or unable to release a version of someone that no longer exists. Ask: am I in a relationship with who this person is, or who they were?
Staying in a role or company after you've mentally left. The loyalty is admirable but it's costing you momentum. The exit you keep planning needs an actual date.
